What a FedEx number looks like
- 12 digits is the most common for FedEx Express, e.g. 123456789012.
- 15 digits and longer numbers are used by some services.
- Letters, dashes or a three-part number like 404-1234567-1234567 are not FedEx numbers — that's a shop order ID.

Parcels from abroad: customs and duty
International parcels stop at customs in India. If duty or documents are needed, FedEx contacts the receiver. Pay only through FedEx's official website or app, never through a link from an unknown number.
Beware of fake "FedEx" calls
A common scam says a FedEx parcel in your name was seized with drugs and moves you to a fake police or CBI "digital arrest" video call.
