“Delivery Not Available for This Pincode”: Why It Happens and 6 Ways to Still Get Your Order

Why some PIN codes get “delivery not available” — and six practical ways to still get your order.

By CheckMyOrder Editorial TeamPublished Last reviewed 3 min read

Quick answer "Pincode not serviceable" means the courier(s) that shop uses don't deliver to your PIN code — for that product, right now. It's about the shop's courier network, not your address. Try: another seller or shop, delivery to an office or relative's PIN code, a pickup point, removing COD, or India Post / Speed Post sellers, which reach almost every PIN code. Check what your PIN code covers on our rate calculator.

Pincode not serviceable: six ways to still get your order

Why does a shop say "not serviceable"?

When you type a PIN code, the shop checks whether any of its couriers can deliver that item there in time. It can say no because:

  • No courier route to your area for that seller — common in hill, island, border and some rural PIN codes.
  • The item is restricted — large appliances, furniture, liquids, batteries or fragile goods need special handling not available everywhere.
  • Cash on delivery is switched off for your PIN code (often because of high refusals) — and the shop only shows "not available".
  • Temporary blocks — floods, curfews, strikes or festival backlogs.
  • Seller-level settings — a small seller may ship only to certain zones to save costs.

India Post runs 1,64,999 post offices, about 90% of them in rural areas — which is why Speed Post reaches places private courier networks don't.

6 ways to still get your order

  1. Try another seller. On Amazon and Flipkart, open Other sellers — a different seller may use a courier that reaches you.
  2. Use another address. Your office, shop, a relative in the nearest town or a hostel — whichever PIN code is serviceable.
  3. Choose a pickup point or locker if the shop offers one near you.
  4. Pay online instead of COD. If COD is the blocker, prepaid may work. More: cash on delivery in India.
  5. Buy from a seller that ships by Speed Post. Many small brands and D2C websites use India Post for remote PIN codes.
  6. Ask the seller directly (WhatsApp/Instagram sellers especially) — they can sometimes book a different courier manually.

Check your PIN code is right

A surprising number of "not serviceable" errors are just a wrong PIN code. Your area's PIN is on your Aadhaar address, electricity bill or on India Post's Know Your PIN Code portal. Each digit means something — see how PIN codes work, and India Post's newer DIGIPIN: DIGIPIN explained.

For sellers: don't lose these orders

  • Add a second courier (or Speed Post) for PIN codes your main courier doesn't cover.
  • Show a clear message ("We deliver here by Speed Post in 5–7 days") instead of a plain "not available".
  • Share tracking proactively — buyers in remote areas worry more. See how to share tracking updates.

Pincode not serviceable — kya karein? (Hinglish)

  • Matlab: us shop ka courier aapke PIN code par nahi jaata — aapka address galat nahi hai.
  • Doosra seller try karein, ya office / rishtedaar ka address daalein.
  • COD hata kar online payment karke dekhein.
  • Speed Post wale seller se mangwaayein — India Post lagbhag har PIN code tak pahunchta hai.

FAQ

Why is delivery available for one product but not another?

Each product can have a different seller and courier, and some items (big appliances, liquids) need special handling that isn't available everywhere.

Will it become serviceable later?

Often, yes — courier networks expand, and temporary blocks (floods, festival backlogs) are lifted. Check again in a few days.

Is my PIN code wrong if it says not serviceable?

Not necessarily, but double-check it. A wrong PIN code is a common cause.
